Just out of curiosity, how do the member titles work?

The member title under your avatar cannot be changed. It is determined by the number of posts you have made.

The member title above your name can be changed by clicking on your username in the upper right of the forum or on your username on the upper left of one of your posts.

Once you get to your profile, click on the black "Edit Profile" button on the right.

Scroll down to the Profile Information section and you can change your title in the box labeled "Member Title."

With our previous forum engine (that buggy VBulletin that nearly killed the forum) only moderators and the like could have custom member titles. That has since changed.

I chose Good Ol' Boy because I am from The South and am a good ol' boy. Brad (FormerJugHead) chose CoolerKing, because he has spent a good bit of time in the forum's "cooler." Personally, I think FartBlossom would have worked, also. Lou (LRusso) chose GreyBeard I think because his beard is grey. Clint (Brndirt1) is a old friend of ours and he was a true Saddle Tramp and is greatly missed.

    Some avatars are self explanatory.

Mine shows the two British Divisions that I served in (78th & 56th) and the Veteran status just comes from having lived in turbulent times.

Yeah, I don't seem to have the box to change in my profile. Item 149 on my new laptops issues list.

I signed on and looked at it as a regular member.

Welllll.......that used to be something the members could change after the conversion to the new forum engine.

I will have to ask Grofaz about it.
