The flypast and commemoration has created great media interest in the UK - and I'm very pleased indeed that it has. For people like me who like to know something of the trivia which isn't that easy to find in the mainstream coverage, 'Mi Amigo' was B-17G 42-31322 which was assigned to the 452nd BG flying out of Deopham Green in Norfolk in January 1944. After only a short time, she was reassigned to the 364BS, 305th BG at Chelveston in Northamptonshire from where she was lost.
