I think I may have either come across something significant or something amazingly coincidental. There are some German documents on the website www.fold3.com that are described as:

Unfortunately, my German is very poor and the website is a pay site. They do have a trial membership, but I'm not sure if these documents can be accesses without a paid membership. If you have a problem accessing them, send me a PM.

Is this going to be one of those, "Remember, I saved your life in the war" things? :p

I must say that it turned out to be a pretty good investment even beyond WWII stuff. I am truly grateful that Rog talked me into getting a membership.

If you can provide a translation of the documents for the English-only folks like me, that would be very much appreciated. :)

So far I have much more important information from the IDPF of Lawrence Block on this camp Stalag X1-A at Altengrabow, Germany

He is buried over there and his remains were never digged up by the US government, I'm now trying to get in contact with agencies to try and find the remains of Lawrence Block so he can be buried on 1 of the ABMC cemeteries or reburied at the United States.

Also I have find in the IDPF he was married and had a stebdaughter, also his aunt was living in his house at that time.

If there is someone who can help me to contact the US or German government please let me know.

It sounds as if the IDPF has been a help to you in your research. Please continue to inform us on your progress and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you.

Today I did a great discovery with the Missing of Lawrence Block. I have had the IDPF a while ago and yesterday I was contacting an American friend of me who have some Xfiles and also the Xfile from the IDPF file of Lawrence Block. The information from both documents are correct and they will start a case about the missing of Lawrence Block who is for 99% buried Unknown on the Ardennes American Cemetery.

    I will keep you posted.
