I am organizing a military themed trip to Poland this fall. (September 9-24). The trip is planned around visiting Gdansk/Gdynia on the Baltic coast where the war began. We will also visit the Polish Naval Museum, a WWII destroyer, two Teutonic Knights castles, a Museum dedicated to the interwar cavalry school and the land forces museum in Bydgoszcz. We then go on to Warsaw for the Uprising Museum, the Military Museum and the Railway Museum. The highpoint is the large reenactment of the battle of Bzura, between the Polish Army and the Wehrmacht. From there we go to Krakow and visit, among other things, the Air Museum. Since it is the centennial of WWI, we will visit Przemysl, a large Austro-Hungarian fortress, scene of a long siege in the opening months of WW1. I have organized trips to Poland before. The files are to big to upload. Write to me janlorys@yahoo.com and I will send you an itinerary and booking form. Speaking Polish is not a requirement, as previous trips have always featured an English speaking tour escort and guides in the specific cities. Regards, Jan M. Lorys .
