Chris Kyle served 4 tours in Iraq. He had 150 confirmed kills, but some estimates say 255. He was the author of "American Sniper" in 2012, his autobiography. Kyle and another neighbor would take Eddie Ray Routh on outings to help Routh deal with his PTSD. On this trip they took Routh to a local gun range. Routh turned his gun on the 2 friends and fled. He was caught 5 hours later, 70 miles from the scene. May Mr. Kyle rip and his family and friends find comfort knowing he served his country well. http://www.stltoday.com/news/nation...cle_ce2afba1-d797-5892-8d55-7921fe4d9b34.html
Chris Kyle was a hero in every sense of the word. Not only was he the epitome of a warrior...he was a selfless family man who had dedicated his life to his wife, kids, and helping veterans deal with not only the physical wounds of war, but the invisible ones. There are times when things in this world make no damned sense to me...and this is one of them. Rest in Peace, Chief...you set a bar so high in your professionalism and dedication that it will likely, and with all my heart hopefully, never be eclipsed. I can only hope you have found the peace you were so desperately in search of on this earth.
There is a movie coming out based on his autobiography http://news.fredericksburg.com/newsdesk/2014/04/23/king-george-ex-seal-helping-keep-film-on-target/ Won't miss it !! I will be first to see it ! , this guy is a hero , dying doing what he could do for the suffering vets with PTSD.
