I like the M2 Bradley. Fast, maneuverable, nice firepower...what more could you ask for?

The Norwegian Army tested, amongst other APCs, the M2 Bradley against the CV9030, and found the CV9030 to be the superiour APC. The CV90 series APCs are probably the best APCs in service today.

The CV9030 which is the version used by the Finnish, Swiss and Norwegian army :

Nice piece of equipment but I hate the side armour, it should be sloped. I just see how easy it is to take out from the side.

    Do any have ceramic armour?

    Tjenare Hoffe,

and welcome to the forum. :)

One of the greatest virtues of the CV90, besides its cross country ability, is its versatility. It can be fitted with a number of different turrets and equipment depending on its intended role, like the links you provided shows. The CV90 isn´t very well known outside Scandinavia I´m afraid, but in my opinion it´s totally superiour to both the Bradley and the Warrior.

Video clip of the CV90 :

Hey, from the side and in the snow, this vehicle kind of looks like a flattened-out Sherman! Check it out, especially the turret and hull front.

Welcome to the forum, Hoffe (from Sweden). We get more Scandinavians every day, don't we Skua? :D

I found this one at the website of Alvis-Hägglund, who makes the CV90 :

Have a look. They have two or three more videos as well.

I've always respected the Russian BMP series as they are the best example of an AFV/IFV/APC combo. The newest one, the BMP-3, is armed with the 73mm gun, 2A42 30mm cannon and very lethal anti-armor missiles, and of course the standard 7.62mm PKT, some are even equipped with a double mortar system.

Canda has developed a breach loading heavy mortor, mounted on or in a LAVIII. A battery of five can fire three rounds each (standard burst) and be mobile before the first round hits the target. Not bad, in fact the Russians wanted a closer look as they were definitely impressed.

Canada seems to be the most underestimated country in the world.
They could find a cure for Cancer, or even invent a way to extend our lifespan to practical immortality, and no one would notice...

I somewhat agree however I think the Americans and Russians make some pretty impressive hardware. But when Canadian industry does create something it usually is pretty impressive.

Don't forget about the new American Stryker! Talk about adaptability, it has many variations. It is all set to replace the Bradely.

I am a fan of this new Stryker. Like I mentioned before, it could easily take on the role of todays MBT.

Yup takes an American to put a big gun, a 105 MM rifled barrel, on top of our LAV. In fact Canada has just purchased 66 of them to go with our recon, infantry, and fire suppression varients. The fire suppression uses a 25 mm auto loading gun. The firing mechanism is done by a joystick and video camera. The communication LAV can be set up under 30 min, I guess it takes a while to extend the main radio mast. It has radio, sat link infrared and micowave comm values.
The USA Marine core liked them so much they purchased over 800 of the various LAV types.
