Split from "The Black Eagle MBT"

You all realise that Russia having a tank this good is bad news right?

I am not saying it is bad for Russia to have it, but Russia is a very well known exporter of advanced weaponry, and I don't feel comfortable knowing that the Syrians/Libyans etc have access to something this good.

As long as the evil Americans don't get it, all will be right with the world.

Oh, but they have their own stuff we need to fear... :D

But indeed, if the Russians get enough of their new tanks they are bound to start selling their T80s and T90s to the market, which is bad news...

As far as I know, Russia is not the biggest arms supplier in the world.

    Really?
Apparently there are enough AK-47s out there to arm 1 in 60 people, world-wide.
Throw in all the RPGs, T-55s & upwards, + military aircraft sold...
Although I suppose China, the 'Warsaw Pact', and others have manufactured them too.

The only othe contender is the USA...

Although UK & France both have fair-sized chunks of the armaments 'pie'

I think the US are the largest weapons exporter, followed by Russia and France.
But China is catching up quite rapidly, and may become the most important one in the future.

In some parts of the world the AK-47 costs only $5

I suppose it depends on how you measure 'largest' - by actual numbers of stuff sold (*probably* Russia), or by annual profit (almost certainly USA).

One difference between US weapons exports and Russian is summarized by an early statement from Bush to Puttin.

"If you are a good politician you will take my advice and stop selling those weapons, they are only going to be used against you by those fools in the future"

It is true, Russia exports weapons to almost anyone while the US tries it's best to export weapons mainly to allies and people who will definately not use them against us in the future.

Imagine Russia going to war against a country equipted with these newly invented monsters.

Sorry, but where did you get that idea?
During the Cold War America gave weapons to anybody & everybody who fought Communists, was anti-Communist, or just was not under Communist influence. Like Iraq. Like Afghanistan.
    I'm amazed at Bush's cheek.
Unless he has learn from the past (If he has, I will be very happy).

I said in my post that I got the idea from president Bush :D

I know that American weapons were exported to enemies of the US now being fought during the cold war, however the US learned from that after 9-11 and now is a lot more careful.

Unfortunately Russia has not learned it's lesson, and it may take 9-11 happening in Moscow for Russia to learn that Iranian signs saying down with US/Russia/Israel mean just what they say.

I hope it doesn't come to that however.
