Anyone else get this addon? Missions so far have been pretty slick (drove around in a tank for a while) but i always seem to run out of ammo - the dead dont seem to have guns. Might be a glitch or something, but you can usually get the gun from people you kill. Anyways - i must say i am stuck. At the point where i've secured the village and am trying to defend it from a Tank attack. Mortars dont seem to kill the Tanks at all - so i have to kill them with the Bazooka at close range. only problem is, after the first 6 tanks, i am out of ammunition. Anyone know how to succesfully beat this part of the level?

There are many points in the game where you have to defend against tanks and i would look for any artillery or possibly a building with mortars in it. That said i think this game is a massive improvement over Spearhead. The multiplay specifically is almost as much fun as the original maps. It is strange that ammo runs low and i think it is just another thing that the guys at EA want to try out. My personal favorite is the stealth mission where you have to infiltrate the airfield. Well bonne chance!

Yeah, there are mortars, but i must not know how to use them right cus they sure dont knock out the tanks.

The stealth mission (with the silenced rifle) is pretty awesome! And the end movie sequence once you make it out alive after saboteuging the Fighters and escaping with the Brit....pretty slick!

The tanks can be knocked out by ther mortars, it takes about 3 direct hits if i recall correctly. THe hard part is actually hitting them....Try to get them when they are high on the ridge & then finish them of with the bazooka. Thats what i did, mind you it took about 2 hours to bloody get it right. Not a bad game, i got it to fill in the time waiting for Call of Duty to come out in Australia...

yeah - mortars did the trick. i figured out that pointing the cross hair at the tanks the closer they got meant shooting the mortar further away (makes sense though) where as pointing the cross hair up higher brought the shell down closer to the building. Now i am having problems defeding the POWs so they can escape in a truck. they all get in the truck, but then nothing happens - other then my death from sniper fire and Krauts with MG's and the such...

I wish i could play online, especially with a T1 Connection - but my freaking school doesnt allow online play and blocks GameSpy. I think i might be able to host a game or something, but wouldnt know how to give you guys the IP or if you can even join by IP (cus i might be able to do that, i know that i cant use Gamespy). We can play LAN Games though, but that doesnt help. But the MP maps look cool (i was a tool and ran around on them - created a game) and checked out Monte Cassino etc maps for like a min - Monte Cassino looks so freaking confusing! And i like the way that one guy can Lay Mines! Thats awesome! And the Italionos do look like the Allied Forces...i love the Beretta and Italian SMG though - pretty slick - and driving that tank was fun...nothing like the screams of Krauts as they get run over by one of their own tanks....muwahaha

I beat it! I beat Breakthrough. Man was it tought! Especially the Monte Battaglia mission! Ammo is the biggest problem for me - had to make every shot count. Some of the fighting was pretty intense! AI a lot smarter this time i think. Last mission is a toughy - numerous restarts for me. Overall, an awesome and challenging game. Cant wait for the next one to come out!
In the meantime, i am going to try and get CMBB. BTW, does anyone know if Battlefield 1942 is a SP game? I am not too sure, and have heard good things about the game.
