    Members.
The Australian 5th.Brigade captured Mont St. Quentin on August 31st. 1918. My Grandfather was in the 17th. Bn. AIF.

A Memorial was erected in the 30's, but in May/June 1940 the German Forces in the area either destroyed or dismantled it depending on whose's version you read.

I have been searching several Museums ,Archives and Forums, but so far, after 12 years of searching I have only come up with a frustrating blank.

Does any member have ANY contacts whatsoever regarding the German Forces in the Peronne , France area in May/June 1940 and especially the fate of the Australian Memorial.

    thanks in Advance

    Peter
