    hi. my partners dad was a Stanley Victor Stone.My o/h never knew him that well and he died 15 yrs ago. a cousin told him that in wwii he was based in north africa and he was Montgomerys batman. apart from a brief 1 word answer "who was montgomerys batman" - "stone" on some online Q and A page, i have drawn a blank. if anyone knows any more or can point me in the right direction to find more information i would be extremely grateful- thanks x

    Someone will. but you should also join ww2 talk site, this sites sister site. More UK and Commonwealth orientated. If there is an answer to this one they will certainly have it.
