Mosquito NF.II HJ711 fires up......

    A major landmark was passed this week in the quite incredible, almost single-handed, long-term ( since 1972 !) recreation/restoration of Mosquito NF.II HJ711, Tony Agar has become something of a legend in Mossie circles and the 2017 relocation of his airframe from Elvington to East Kirkby has given new impetus to his work.

    On a very blustery evening at the old Bomber Command airfield one of the Merlin engines came to life for the first time ( to the obvious delight of Tony and his wife ). Onwards now to the other engine and then taxying status....
