My 35th ID Collection

    Good evening,


    Here gradually presentation of my collection focuses on 35th Infantry Division.
    I do this not suddenly, but gradually ...

    I have to take pictures of my collection on display but I have not had time, here are old photos when I received the objects ...


    Two liners of the 35th, including one to the dog tags that come with it.
    I bought these two liners to Peter Oosterman, he wrote a book on M1 helmets.

    This is the name that is on the dog tag and in the liner.

    I want a picture of this guy, if someone knows or find one ^^

    I already have a lot of information on him ...

    Charles Zeb Capell, 84, of Thatcher, Idaho, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007 in Pocatello, ID in a local care center. Charles was born July 2, 1923 at Robin, ID, the son of Edward Seth and Eliza Cordelia Gunter Cappell.

    He was married to Mearl Ethel Mower August 24, 1942 in Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Charles had lived in Hawkins Basin, McCammon, Grace, and Thatcher the past 38 years. He was educated in the Marsh Valley schools. He had worked as a mechanic at Shuler John Deere Dealership and at the Stauffer Mine.

    He was a High Priest in the Thatcher LDS Ward; he had served as superintendent of the Sunday School and in the High Priests Group Leadership. He was a member of the Grace American Legion Post. He had served in the Army during WWII. His hobbies included hunting, making quilt stands, quilting, hand embroidering, and helping his neighbors.

    Charles is survived by his wife, Mearl Capell of Thatcher; five sons and five daughters and their spouses, Thomas Capell of Las Vegas, Edward and Kathy Capell of Ogden, UT, Floyd Capell of Winnemucca, NV, Arthur and Debra Capell of Evanston, WY, Lewis and Cindy Capell of West Valley City, UT, Ruby Smith of Grace, ID, Wanda Hirschi of Rigby, ID, Rhoda and Mark Hopkins of Pocatello, ID, Nita and Lee Harwood of White City, OR, Edith and Steve Brunson of Bemidji, MN; 43 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters; Kenneth and Violet Capell of Arimo, ID, Lila and Wesley Nordgren of Salt Lake City, UT and Lois Hall of Pocatello, ID. He was preceded in death by six sisters and one brother; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were conducted on July 10, at the Williams Ward Chapel in Niter, ID. Burial was in the Marsh Center Cemetery with military graveside services by the Grace American Legion Post 160. Services were under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
