I made a WW2 German sniper veil out of burlap and another green canvas type matirial, total cost $4.81. I know the real ones were not made of burlap, but it does give the look of a real one. Visibility is rather good even though that the threads in front of the eyes are so close together. View attachment 12252 View attachment 12253 View attachment 12254 View attachment 12255
It looks pretty realistic. Well done. I doubt many originals survived, so I understand you made this one yourself
I couldn't find any online for a reasonable price so I decided to make my own. The only downside is that teh burlap frays so some of the loose threads that hang on the bottom stick together.
Well done Panzer, I sometimes make items I want too, either because it costs too much or else i just can't source it.
Sure, but it would be for a price. Just today I finished another project. I am in a German reenacting group and we have a tactical battle coming up in Febuary, I didn't have a white smock so I made my own out of a bed sheet. It turned out rather crude but it still serves the purpose. The smock I made looks like what the second guy from the right is wearing.
Good, fits to the time. Add some stripes of white cloth around the rifle and it´ll work good. How about some pics of that?
Well here it is, pretty crude pictures. When I have it on in the field I'll be sure to take some pictures. The last picture is a helmet cover I made out of scrap pieces. View attachment 12276 View attachment 12277 View attachment 12278 View attachment 12279
