Volcano? More like a dumpster fire. One member has a deep emotional attachment to the dumpster and is fighting tooth-and-nail - becoming more and more ludicrous - in a failed attempt to save it. Concurrently, others are adding papers and other flammable material to said dumpster. The rest are standing around with popcorn enjoying the show.

When first started watching- thought - this must be fake. They trained a bird ( which is brilliant- look for this kind of thing in the future ).
But as it went, Bernie was obviously surprised. Probably real...loved it.
Birds have always been harbingers for me...if there is a god, this would be something to pay attention to.
I'm for Bernie now. Unless a meteor crosses the sky in the next 24 hrs. Which would mean he is actually evil. lol

They have found 4...now 5 very large Slavic symbols (swastika) etched into the New Mexico (near Roswell) desert.
Suspect they were used as a bomb range (during WW2 ) as there are other etched areas around the swastikas. Would guess some look like berthed ships or battleships at sea, as well as squares etc...There appear to be craters scattered around as well.
The question is- why a swastika, and why the ancient symbol- not the one the nazis stole...why hasn't there been any former airforce guys talking about them on websites like this one.
    Anyhoo

We had a hail storm at work back in the 80's or early 90's. Went out afterwards and picked up one of the "stones", it was a bit bigger than my fist. Composed of a bunch of smaller stones from what I recall. The record for hail stones is ~8" so 9" is possible.

Yeah, thought of that, but kids are too lazy/stupid to dig a pit that large. It looks 5-6 feet deep, and the tree's beyond the pit are burnt.
There was a story out of India recently, where a guy went for a crap out in a field at night- lucky guy got killed by a meteorite.
Another reason why bathrooms need to be built in India.

Thinking a hole that size caused by a meteorite wouldn't have any nearby trees left to burn. Notice the left over ash and logs? Pit would be nothing but bare dirt. Looks like a natural depression to me. Look to the back and left of the hole - it appears to have undulating land. I agree about the lazy/stupid part but consider what can happen after a few beers. Usually trouble. :)

Oh Yeah, hope the fires up there burn themselves out soon. Last night we received the acrid smoke for several hours and can imagine what anyone closer than the 1200 miles we are are enduring. Sun took on a deep Red color and it looked like fog was moving in on us.

Ft Mac disaster coupled with oil prices ( thanks KSA- coming back to bite you in the ass), has been Alberta's bane.
Some of the Oil Sands are located close to FtMc and were evacuated. A lot of people were transported to Calgary. The gov gave out a whole lot of money.
Life is hard here for a lot of people.
