    Polish, did the Germans use it as a command vehicle:confused:

    Not Polish, sorry, although it was used in the invasion of Poland.

    and the production version was a full-blown armoured car, so generally not used as a command vehicle.

    Its the armoured car version of Dr Doolittles Push-me-pull-you :D

    Another little clue - it was used by the SS and the Waffen SS among others.

    ahhhh one short walk to my encyclopedia of german tanks of ww2 will reveal the answer, it is an M35 mittlerer panzerwagen, origins: austrian army. used by the SS and police to 'police' the backwater areas of the third reich.

    Absolutely right - otherwise known as the Steyr ADGZ, with the original photo being the 1933 prototype, the second photo the 1934/5 first production version.

    Used by the SS in the invasion of Poland, particularly the area of Danzig, and then in limited use on the OstFront.

    Here's my guess: the Canon de 194 mle GPF. A number were used by the Germans in Russia as the "19.4cm Kanone 485 (f) auf Selbstfahrlafette"
