A Nazi leader in Hamburg, Germany, seen standing in front of a huge swastika in 1933. He was telling the assembled citizens that they must contribute to the Nazi charity Winter Help.

Have you seen the World at War episode called "Inside the Reich" ? There's a very interesting section in it showing the Nazi Bigwigs (Goering and Goebels in particular) giving presents to children at Christmas in the early war years. The German public was still not entirely convinced by the Nazis and they staged these so called offering events to help boost their image apparently.
