So today I was given a bayonet by a coworker as a gift, and I'm trying to find as much information on it as possible. I already know that it is a 10in Utica Cutlery bayonet, standard issue for the M1 rifle. The sheath has a name that was once painted on it and is extremely faded, but I can make out a few of the letters on it... How can I figure out who this belonged to for more history on this blade?

Sorry to break it to you, but likely you won't be able to find anything. To my knowledge no one kept records of who was issued what weapon, let alone a bayonet. Your best bet is probably pumping your coworker for information. If it was in his family since the war, someone might know the history of it.
