Pleased to join this forum. Have many interests relating to World War 2 : I have started a blog about World War 2 poetry, so far only focusing on Britain but hope to expand this soon. World War 2 themed literature fascinates me....so far have only looked at English and Dutch work. Other research includes Occupied Netherlands and Belgium, Naval war-particularly Arctic Convoys, British Conscientious Objectors, Home Front security measures, siege of Malta. Appreciate all the greetings -thank you. Is there a part of the 'Forum for discussion about poetry that has been written by other people? My reading of the 'poetry' section is that it's for members' own work.
Welcome to the Forum, Michael. I'm not much of a poet, but I do like to write the occasional limerick - not the vulgar type. Although, some might argue that means they're not actually limericks.
Thanks again for all the greetings. Looking forward to taking part in this forum. And would still welcome advice on where threads concerning poems -not written by me- can be started !
Hi Michael. Glad to have you. As far as the poetry is concerned, I don't think there's a particular place, but I would say to put it in World War 2 General. Just label it as such, and if you want it pinned for ease of finding let me know.
