hello everyone! I am a collector of M1 Garand's and have recently gotten into bayonets. several years ago, I purchased several of them from CMP and one of them has me confused. I have a Utica Cutlery dated 1942 with the fuller going the length of the blade and through the point. So, I am assuming it has been cut down. The part that is confusing, is on the opposite side of the blade it is stamped UFH for Union Fork and Hoe. Does that mean UFH cut the blade down? If this is correct, how common is this? oh, and the scabbard is stamped US M7

Thanks Gordon. I am very happy to be here. I stumbled across this forum looking for information about a bayonet, and haven't been able to stop reading about all the other threads.
