Hi everyone, i'm Alessandro, a new member from Italy. I'm 53, interested to WWII from school age due to the memories of my grandfather Costantino, that served with italian Regio Esercito at italian-french border in summer 1940, in ex-Yugoslavia until mid-1941 and after that in North Africa, until the Axis surrender in May 1943. He was a prisoner (and farmer) in England from mid-1943 to early 1946. I'm interested in WWII at 360°, but in this period i'm looking for information on italian P.O.W.'s in UK during WWII, because i'm studying Historical Sciences at university and i'm starting a degree paper regarding my granfather 6 years forced leave from home. My grandfather was in Camp 40 (Tonbridge) and Camp 57 (Guildford). Do you know if there is a possibility that some records (prisoners list, assignment to local works/farms, etc) could still exist today? Thanks. Regards, Alessandro
