    Hi everyone,

We are a group of filmmakers who are extremely passionate about WWII.

We are currently crowdfunding our film 'Magpie' on Kickstarter in order to raise some funds to make the film to a high standard.

Magpie is a film that focuses on topics such as: life in East Anglia during WWII, the 95th Bomb Group based in Suffolk, PTSD and more. We have the ongoing support of The Eighth in the East, The 95thBG Museum, Vitec Videocom (a leading camera equipment manufacturer) and many local reenactment groups.

We would really appreciate it if you could take a look at our campaign and share with others who you think would be interested in supporting us in making our film.

Here is a link to the campaign:

Any donations (large or small) would be gratefully received! There are some unique rewards/experiences available for those who do kindly donate to us.

We have 9 days left of our campaign. (If we don't make our funding target, we don't make anything, and no money will leave our supporters' accounts!)

Please help us to tell their stories, and keep the memories alive of those who served for us in WWII.

    Kind Regards,
    The Magpie Team

You came to the RIGHT place.
See also our UK centric sister forum: http://ww2talk.com/
(ww2f.com here is a USA / British Commonwealth centric forum.)

Many, many members here (and there) are PASSIONATE about historical accuracy in all areas in WW2 Movies in particular equipment, clothing and accurate + relevant + heart throb + educational story lines.

Many, many members here (and there) have a LONG history of assisting Movie Teams with content and stories that become terrific additions to their films.

I am sure many would be willing to chip in - especially provided it meets their high standards.

Welcome! Nice Start. Nicely done! Kuddos!

At the top right there is a green button to do simple searches of the forum.

Completely hidden from view, immediately beside it is the Advanced Database Search button. (The Admin has been contacted to fix this.)
It is a box, exactly the same size. Click on it and then you can do much tighter searches into topic areas that interest you.

That's the way to get topic titles exactly on task for you. You'll find heaps of good threads that way.

Thank you for your positive words, Fred Wilson.

We have also posted on your sister forum (WW2 Talk).

We would like to remind those viewers who have not come across Kickstarter before that the video on our campaign page is not the actual film (we are crowdfunding in order to make that) but is a video which tells the Kickstarter community why we are asking for funding. Instead of the usual 'sit in front of a camera and talk' pitch videos, we decided to make ours a bit more interesting with the help of several re-enactment groups and historical advisors.

We hope you will share and support our project!

    The Magpie Team
