Canada vs USSR 1972 was the bomb.
    Hockey at its best.
Heard a story about the USA team playing a B Soviet team for Olympic qualifying.. ..USA checked a Soviet player into the boards, and under his jersey was a gun. The Soviets were so concerned about defections, that the kgb were used as players in order to keep close tabs.

I just love to see how your team buddies start making minced meat of the opponent if your team member is tackled in the head and cannot get up...

Anybody likes the Laine one-timer in Winnipeg? Well I do. The youngster is 19 and fighting for the top Goal scorer..

Watch out NHL. Our big promise as the new Teemu Selänne is playing the first time for Nashville. The name is Eeli Tolvanen. Hope the best for him in his first game.

I'm still watching the playoffs, even though my Avalanche lost to the Predators :(

The Montreal Canadiens is the best team, no questions asked.

The defensive game has turned more aģgressive definitely. I recall when newcomer Teemu Selänne scored some 76 Goals in one season. Or Messier made if I recall correctly against the Sharks 0+9 in one game alone.

I find that I am rooting for them more then the others. My leaky Flyers got bounced in the first round. However, still enjoying it. Nothing better than playoff hockey. Except of course my Eagles.

The Flyers really need a franchise goalie (stop me if you've heard that some time in the last 30 or so years.) That said, I'm watching the Pens and the Caps. Is it possible for both to lose? Whoever wins this series, I hope they get smoked in the next round. Vegas is a real mystery. They are mostly castoffs from other teams, but somehow they seem to win despite that.

Get one from Finland... ☺ just proud to see so Many Finnish goalies in the NHL and still we have new promising goalies in out own series. And suddenly we also have new Young players for the next 10 years to keep us in medals in the WC games. Just last weekend our U-18 won the gold against the US Team. Tight match but this time we won.
