Not a ww2 film but, The Alamo is being remade>

I know that it isnt a modern type of war movie but, did you know that Ron Howard (Opie Taylor, Ritchie Cunningham) is going to be in charge of the project.

Im excited about it as thats another favorite time for me to study. I wonder who will be playing Davy Crockett, William Barrett Travis and Jim Bowie--pronounced Booy NOT B-ow-ee, as some think it is.

I think Mel Gibson could be Davy, but cant think of who could be the rest. Any suggestions?
