There's even an appearance from Bert Reynolds at the 30 second mark.

Well, At least they're going to be made in the good ol' USA.
These beast are older than I am !!

“We are excited to begin this milestone testing program, the first step for what will be decades of successful engine operation for the U.S. Air Force B-52 fleet,” said Candice Bineyard, director of defense programs at Rolls-Royce. “Rolls-Royce continues to work very closely with the Air Force and Boeing to ensure the engine testing and integration process run smoothly. This will result in higher fuel efficiency, reduced air refueling requirements, and significantly lower maintenance costs for the B-52 fleet.”

Rolls-Royce’s F130 engine evaluations come after wind tunnel testing that was completed by Boeing in September of last year using a 4% scale model of a re-engined B-52. The company released a corresponding video, which can be viewed below, explaining that their goal was to collect data for future flight tests and to ensure that the bomber’s new engine configuration will work as intended with the B-52's relatively ancient airframe.

Just curious, but how much tax do y'all pay. Realizing of course we here the the USA actually pay more than we think!
It's weird because I spent most of my day today contemplating how screwed we are. Politically, emotionally and generally in the larger scheme of things. Not that I'd ever leave, hell just found out the County I live in passed a 2 Amendment ordinance professing everyone has the Right to bare arms. So : I'm free to express my personal freedom to carry my 9mm wherever I want.

No guns for Australians…It’s easier to take the stance in Australia for a bunch of reasons. You can still get a gun, but it’s much harder…Basically you have to prove you need one to the Police…Hunting, Sport shooting, farming etc…But you don’t need a semi auto for that…Australia has a rifle culture, but not a pistol culture. The tax is an interesting point in Australia at the moment…The Government has traditionally relied heavily on income tax…then brought in GST…We are expected to move away from income tax in the near future as it doesn’t bring in the revenue it once did. You get taxed a lot, but you get paid a lot…
    As a side comment…

I heard on the radio today that we could be at war with China in as little as 3 years…I wonder what businesses are doing now in preparation for that quite possible eventuality.

"wars and rumors of wars". Nobody will get the start of the next war right by anything other than accident.

Ukraine got plenty of heads up..
They knew WW2 was inevitable as far back as 36….3 years out.
China’s Prez, Xi has upped spending on military this year by 230 odd billion, has been seen wearing a military uniform…And the West is now low on ammunition…Xi will want to do this in his life time…

i think a 20 year exit plan should be introduced…the West US, UK Europe, Australia/New Zealand should take a million Tawainese a year for 20 years…Not happy with that, but will prevent what could be WW3…I don’t want an Archduke Ferdinand situation, where the world is mostly destroyed over a fucken island!

I read a scifi story about aliens who come to Earth and find out our terrible secret, we'd used atomic bombs twice in combat. They invited us to come to their world to tell them about this. When the ship arrived it was clear that many, many atomic bombs had been used there.

"We want to know how you stopped after two."
