Oh that should work out well. I mean, who can't trust Amazon with highly classified intelligence not to mention my own internet 'everythings'.

They had super boat races in San Diego when I was there. One boat flipped and landed in a parking lot. Pretty sure he lost the race.
So, I'm sitting in my shop working on a fresh P47-D and noticed a noise in the airspace overhead. Nodding my head I thought, "Yep someone's out 'joy riding' in their float plane. But as the sound grew louder & closer it became a familiar sound of a radial engine. Stepping outside I could hear but not see it low and behind the tree's. Grab the phone and fired up FlightRadar24 and what to my ears was that ? A Beech D18S twin Wasps ! One of only maybe 50. And people still ask me why I live here
I get to see F16's, F117's, CBY's, Airtractors, watched a Thunderbird doing a loop over the lake, F16 dropping flares ( after sunset ), sit in a P47, ride in a B25, watch a C141 pass over at a 1,000' (once), watch night-ops of the local ANG, occasionally watch a duffess land his Cessna 172 float plane on the lake, track commercial airlines heading for Korea, Singapore, and other parts West of here, see arriving flights from England, Scotland, and those other European places heading to LAX, DFW and a few other spots in the Western US, , eat more fresh fish than I should, don't see a soul for weeks. But generally, living outside the mainstream for the most part. I've got a few dozen more if you're really a glutton for punishment

Corsair torque roll… 122K views · 546 reactions | The torque unleashed from the Vought F4U Corsair’s powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine and its 13-foot, 4-inch propeller when applied too quickly was often too much for the control surfaces to handle at slow speeds causing an unrecoverable torque roll. #wwii #ww2 #warbirds #warbird #aviation #aviationlovers #aviationphotography #aviationdaily #history #historia #pilot #pilottraining #studentpilot | The Prank | The Prank · Original audio
NOW THAT'S PRETTY COOL but the view from the hotel windows must be very boring! A Floating Rescue House. In WW2 the Luftwaffe deployed rescue buoys in the English Channel to provide shelter to downed pilots. They had bed bunks, stoves, basic supplies inside and could be checked once or twice a day to see if any survivors were in to send a rescue floatplane.
