The Olympics have begun early with various sports kicking off...Watched The US vs Home favourites France last night. France are in the "top five" best Rugby countries and yet the US took them to task with a 12-12 draw. The US looked a high quality team even doing the small things that seperate the average teams and the good teams...A team to watch.

Australia's Flag bearers have been chosen:
Eddie Ockenden (left) and Jess Fox are Australia's flag-bearers for the Paris opening ceremony

You may be aware of the illegal immigrant problems Europe has been having, and that France has had a problem for a while - Some saying that France is already "lost" - This is a big story in and of itself but now i'm watching it in terms of the Olympics...So far:
Australian woman (not athelete) was gang raped by 5 men. - An Australian channel 9 film crew was assaulted and robbed - Australian cyclist had his car trashed and broken into (lucky he'd brought his equipment inside) - All this in just 1 week!
Im not sure how many countries are reporting this aspect.

Oh and who is sitting on top of the world at the moment? Even missed some medals in the rugby and diving…Don’t worry, I’m sucking it up knowing it won’t last long…

France and Europe is not lost.

Lest we forget, the Europeans have a long history of bloodbaths with WW2 persecution of Jews and anyone else opposed Nazis as an example. Ethnic cleansing in the Balkans (Bosnian v. Serbians) is another manifestation and the most recent is in the U-Crane with Neo-Nazis killing of the Rus. In France alone there's Robispierre's Reign of Terror, persecution of the Hugenots and the almost forgotten Cathars centuries before that. It's basic human nature's "us against them" mindset at play.

Glad I'm not into watching sportsball on the interweb. I heard about the drag queen mockery of The Last Supper in the Opening Ceremony.

Expect a backlash (civil unrest) both there and right here.

It wasn't the Last Supper, it was the Feast of Dionysis.

In 2020 it was Daria Bilodid. Now in 2024 it's Abe Uta. I'll hang myself!

    The final Tally 2020 Olympics...

    upload_2024-8-1_7-53-34.png

Hats off to GBR finishing 4th...Actually an amazing effort. USA! USA! kicked some serious butt...but lagging a bit at the moment. I'm sure things will start to look different when we get into the track and field events...Surprised the US isn't doing better in the shooting... : )

In the news at the moment is China is blaming Australia for its doping scandal...Saying they got it from Australian meat..!
Reminds me of all the far fetched stories woman over the ages have told their parents as to why they are pregnant...
Needless to say Australian scientists are saying that is highly improbable...
