I used to be a turret rat consequently I know pretty much about the layout of the inside of the turret of an M60 tank. One item that i worked on along with Powers( he was in instrument repair) was the optical range finder. that is what those two metal domes with a window in them that stick out the sides of the turret. they are hooked into the fire control computer enabling the tanks main gun to get a first round kill on a moving target while the tank itself is moving. didja know that?
