    I was trolling around looking for info for Erich on Otto Westphalen and found this article that was an interesting read. Westphalen had some hand in the ultimate fate of the 26 yo U-boat captain, Kusch.

    full of intrigue I must say Jeff, and thanks for the most interesting albeit sad article. a person wonders if there could be truth in Westphalens words about the disorientation possibly of Kuschs crew as not wishing to take the struggle out to the sea to the enemy. I want to say another young commander by the name of Hess had quite similar views against the party and Hitler if I am not mistaken
