Otto krause

Hi im tring to find out some info about the ss.Halle german cargo ship it was sunk by the french battleship the fantastique. the crew was capted and taken to south africa to the senegal camps im trying to trace my grategrandfarthers foot steps he snuk out of australia leaving his family behind to fight the war he was a german oficer in the first war he left australia in 1939 haveing wind of the war just before it started aperently he had all ways told his son that he would leave when he was 14 they came to australia in 1926 when my grandfarther was 8 mounths his name was karl krause and if you ad 14 to 26 thats 1939-1940 when the war started so his farther must have known somthing .there is a lot of stuff about the family in the National archives of australia free web site if you type in otto krause and search 1926 arivals you will see stuff there otto wife martha and sons otto ,karl,fritz, hienz,and daughter anna. all i know is that he made it back to germany becouse he divorecd his wife and remarried but cant find his grave died 12/8/1966 but dont know what cemetry in know he died in lebenstedt salzgitter germany and his farthers name was karl krause unsure if it is the same as karl w krause hitlers body gard . iny way he must of bean in contact with the germans whislt in australia if iny one can help me would be appreciated.
