P14 (or M1917) rifle used by Germans

    Just started reading Thomas Taylor's The Simple Sound of Freedom and in one photograph you can see an American GI bartering with a German guard. The German guard is armed with either the P14 (or M1917) Enfield rifle. I know that M91/30 snipers were used by the Germans but wasn't aware of the P14 being used.
