The PALAWAN MASSACRE occured during December 14, 1944 wherein 150 more or less US ARMY & USMC Prisoners of War were being slaughtered by Imperial Japanese in Puerto Princesa City Palawan at the place Known as PLAZA CUARTEL. The picture & the marker said it all.[IMG]

A tragic reminder of the past after the Leyte Landing October 24, 1944. The Imperial Japanese Army and Kempetai-Police ordered the American POW enter inside Air Raid Shelter and there the Japanese poured gasoline fuel to the Tunnel leading to Air raid shelter and lighted it thereby burning the US ARMY & USMC POW during the War.
