Thought this might be of interest to many here. The Bangor Public Library has many unit history books, online in .pdf format, for units that served during WW2. There is a lot of good stuff here, something for near about every one. Infantry, Armor, USAAF(mostly Bombardment Groups), several US Navy ships, SeeBees, even the USO, and Red Cross. Sorry, the only one for the Marines is on the Women's Reserve. Link: http://digicom.bpl.lib.me.us/ww_reg_his/ Enjoy!
Are you somehow under the impression that I have plenty of free time? That I simply want to spend my days sitting here reading? Excellent find. Why does my backlog of books just keep rising?
That link has come up before, but I don't recall what the subject of the post was. I believe rkline56 originally referenced it. Better to have it under a topic that makes it easy to find. And, yes, I've downloaded most of them.
Ah, I just found it. http://www.ww2f.com/topic/3965-hatten-and-rittershoffen-january-1945/page-6 Like I said, unless you knew it was there, you wouldn't find it.
