Pennant use

where did the Germans use pennants? vehicles and party functions, correct?? anywhere else.....?

Like the Romans, who they copied quite a bit...marching always involved penants...

 

There is a crackingly strange little Osprey book called 'Flags of the Third Reich'. I'd heartily recommend it for strange little flag queries.

Not the be-all-&-end-all, there are some seriously expensive specialits books out there, but a good ready reckoner with some entertaining little nuggets thrown in.

You sometimes see 'em on tank aerials, but I think that'd usually be a divisional sign, if memory serves. (Maybe swastika for a parade?)
