The Political Compass ^^^^^Take the quiz and report where you stand politically! (Just out of curiosity) I got this...(I thought I was more to the right but I guess not?) you may want to take it a few times to refine your results. Compare to these:
One block below & right of dead center. I tried to answer them quickly & without much thinking, since some weren't much of a choice. Turns out.....a "Fence Walker". or Jekyll/Hyde ? Looks like I'm in lonely territory....good.
I ended up about as close to the center dot as I could -- less than half a block from true center. Does this mean I have no beliefs of any kind? ;-)
If I got serious about my answers, I'd be with Mitt/Newt/Fred. Too many women around me for too long has softened me, simply to avoid conflict.
Apparently, I'm one of the rare breed of Libertarian/Rightists. Five blocks to the right of center and two blocks below the median (couldn't get the graph to show up properly). No wonder all the political candidates seem to be out of step with my political philosophies!
Economic Left/Right: 1.62 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.82 But, I also think that this is skewed to a degree.
The questions were made by someone who didn't reflect too deeply on political realities or political history. The guy simply doesn't know what Left means in current terms, other than a parochial US view ("If it ain't Republican, then it's Commie", so to speak). The questions do not allow a proper definition of Left after the fall of the Berlin Wall - even if anyone knows what that is, which I doubt. It is completely impossible for The Red Rabbi to be in the Centre in terms of choice between Authoritarianism and Liberalism, his given replies were supposed to be as authoritarian as possible and the result was Middle of the Road? Pure bovine faecal matter! By the by, over here I've been publicly called a Fascist!
Agreed, I tried to ascertain the actual source of the survey but it seems ambiguous, it throws up too many questions that are virtually meaningless outside of a US context and only seems to reflect a result in comparison to an American scheme of politics. If it had been laid out with regards to a 'pure' political theory (not difficult) then I feel the results would be far more interesting. I have such a survey in a politics textbook from University days and remember that everybody was broadly in agreement with the results gained, as they reflected a far more personal political stance. Cheers, Adam.
I'm Authoritarian Right winger. Dose this mean I have no time for Political Correctness and want to see it out lawed? Damn strait I do.
Political Compass Printable Graph So I am 3.38 to the right and .41 towards Authoritarian. This puts me right in the pack of the Dems... garbage. I thought I would be in the middle fo the purple. But it is fun to see how we rank compared to each other.
Economic Left/Right: -8.12 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90 This is what I got... Mhe I already expected it. Cheers...
I just took a different test and I'm................. Your Result: you are a right-wing patriot! well done fellow american you are a right-wing patriot you lean to the republican party you are anti-commie anti-hippie pro-freedom and its people like you who make the USA the best country on earth Now that must be a good reason for America to let me in. Right wing patriot or left wing commie? Right wing patriot or left wing commie?
Economic Left/Right: -0.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 6.56 Damn, I'm close to this guy with the mustache...
I would re-lable the graph as follows: X-axis (L / R): Communist (complete state economic control) / Laz a fair or open market (eg., no rules in the marketplace) Y-axis: (top to bottom): Dictatorship (total government rule) / Anarchy (no laws whatsoever) This would set the boundaries of the chart at the most extreme economic and political situations. Quadrant II (top left "dictatorship communism) would be populated by the likes of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, and Mugabe. Quadrant I (top right dictatorship free market) would be the current Chinese junta and other totalitarian states with capitalist markets. Quadrant III (bottom left, anarchy communism) would be largely unpopulated. There are few if any examples of where a lack of government results in a monoply in the market. Quadrant IV (bottom right, anarchy free market) would have at various points the US, Europe, and other democratic capitalist societies, although these would tend to cluster towards the center of the graph.
"Laissez-Faire" OK, but then how come The Red Rabbi got such a mid-way classification? This questionnaire is crap.
