Ok fellas, I did a clean install of the ICE mod in what I believe is its final version. So now I am going to start up a new AAR, but want you guys to pick which country. Since you've already done an AAR for Italy my picks would be Japan or Yugoslavia. (You did a very good AAR might I add). I think Japan would be quite a challenge to master the sea and air. I like the challenge of Yugoslavia as well as it walks a tightrope based on the alliance it makes.
Remember, every one gets 2 votes! Yugoslavia would certainly be a challenge though in most of my games they always seem to be making ton of money according to the Diplomacy screen!
Germany, and the USSR, I do not believe that you have done a full one of either of these, both are the largest countries in the game, and especially in Germany's case it is important to distribute your troops wisely, otherwise you will face a three front war, then you can really begin to appreciate the situation that they put themselves in, in the later parts of the war, and how at a certain point they were just doomed. Just think of them like Italy, just bigger and badder, with a lot more troop requirements.
USSR and France. I would find France more interesting. In the past in HOI2 and AOD I built a huge amount of Infantry, Cavalry and lots of AT brigades and then deliberately set it up to be a WW1 situation and to see if I could fish myself out of it. Five years and 6 million causalities later, I beat the Hun!
USSR is out to a one point lead, with Germany and Yugoslavia a point behind. I'll probably start the game on Tuesday, so you've got 24hours to vote!
Curses too late to vote, oh well. I would have voted for Romania anyways, I don't know why but they are probably my favorite nation to play, up until Hungary demands territory from you.
