I just joined this forum and I'm thrilled to be here. However, it does cost some money to upkeep this wonderful place.

To be humble, I'm a crafter and I wouldn't mind donating a crocheted blanket or something to help raise funds for this board (maybe a cross stitch piece?). I don't know if maybe that might help or...?

    Just a thought...

Thats a nice offer if ever there was! Do you do any "military" type craft stuff? A blanket in cam colours for example?

Actually I do. I will post pictures shortly..I can make blankets easily in camo colors or maybe in regimental colors, it doesn't matter. I cross stitch military planes and a lot of other goodies. I should show you all my pictures..:D

Luketdrifter, yes I do take commission requests. If you have something in mind for me to do I would be happy to talk to you about it.

I'd really like to get something unique for my buddy's mother. He served with the 173rd Airborne (my avatar) and was killed in Afghanistan in 2007...saw your stitchwork and thought it might be something very neat to inquire about...

    I appreciate your interest.

We moved to Version 4 of the forum software last month, that is why it is so plain looking-it has a vanilla skin. Prior to that, there were advertisements in different spots around the forum, which helped to cover the cost of maintaining the forum. They've not been put back in yet, but look for them soon, probably around the time the forum gets its new skin.

I was curious to know if you did want your avatar stitched as it would be nice to do. Let me see if I can find a pattern of this or I can make a pattern to stitch for you, how's that? If you need more details, just email or PM me..
