    some great ve-day films/home movies of parties in link below, and street parties large, and some modest. celebration was what it was all about. ..and the times ..from end of war...click on selection, low/medium or high, then click allow. I can play it thro windows media player..

    This one is Oxford Road, Edmonton - North London. My aunt is in the middle of the crowd. She refused to be evacuated and was 15 by the time the war ended.

    Thanks Ray. I've copied your links and posted on a War Brides newslist at Rootsweb as I thought some of the surviving War Brides and children might like to see them. Who knows, maybe they are in one of them.

    nice videos, telling of blackout, street party, and reminiscing...some in the national welsh language, but mostly english..
