    Hi

I've seen others post photos in this new format, but so far every one I try to post is rejected. Can someone please specify the parameters which must be met? Or if someone can guide me through the process - it looks like it should be simple but its not working out that way.

    Thanks!

Michelle, are you trying to post them from your computer? If so, click on the insert image icon, choose From computer, then use the Basic Uploader choice on the bottom right of the box. You can then use the Manage Attachments just as you did on the old format. (You have to choose Go Advanced to get to that option). Hope that helps.

I'm having the same problems. Perhaps browser-related (Safari 5.0.3.)?

The Basic- uploader doesn't work for me either.
I copy the "image location" from the picture I want to upload in my "Picasa" account (other sites work also). Then use the URL upload and click the Retrieve remote file and reference locally to clear the box. Click upload.
I'm guessing here but the old style would alert you that the "file is too large" while the basic up-loader now doesn't, just says upload failed. Is it because the picture is too big?

Thanks, TBA. I'm posting from my computer and am now having success after using Lou's tips, by going straight to "Go Advanced", then using the "Insert Image" icon, then choosing "Basic Uploader", which then gives me the opportunity to choose "Browse" from my computer - and after I've selected the photo I want (not a large file size - what are limitations someone?) and then choosing upload - then its just wait relatively briefly for the upload to be complete. Then after adding 5 photos and information about them, I submit the reply. Hope this helps others too!

Don't worry Michelle, you're not alone. Under the old system, I just used to click on 'insert image', bash in the Photobucket link and away I went - no problem. I've tried all sorts of things since the change to VBulletin but haven't posted a single pic in four months.....

    ( Although maybe that's a relief to everone else ! )

Yes - it's a bit different from the old system of going via Photobucket ; but I think I can now get the hang of it. All I need now is for the sun to come out.....:D
