It has been a while but look at this beauty, carved with a nail by a French pow. Each carve is a day! Note there is still some space left as the man did not know exactly when the war would end. I don't know his name, just his initials .
No amateurs or art lovers saw this beauty? Maybe I should do something to promote the trench art section. It's one of my favorites.
Hmm, don't think this thread showed up new for me..........great looking piece though. I actually like trenchart alot, but its expensive to buy over the internet. When I was in France/Belgium last year, some of the muesums I visited had fantastic trench art displays - both WW1 and WW2.
I'm glad you finally got to see this thread Andy, for some reason it went unoticed. It's fairly new though (started on April 18th) . I love those items too, would you believe nobody picked this up at a fair and that I found it at the very end.
I supose most people might not notice it as being a military item.....to your advantage of course, again great item
Oh, yes the noticed, but they snobbed it, thinking they have a better deal saving their money for a rusted Mauser clip or something similar.... As yo usay to my advantage so I got this for a small price.
Heh heh, Skipper busted all of us :lol; But seriously, I didnt see it posted here I guess cuz I was busy winning those Russian Tank pics? ;-))
That's because I have new batches all the time, I just posted a new load of them with great U.S things too
Heh heh, the upper management here REALLY needs to have a corner in here just for your stuff ;-)) and when that happens? make sure its a sticky ;-))
