    I plan to visit the above cities soon, Does anyone know of any good tank/warfare/aircraft/car museums there ?

    In Budapest there is the Historical Museum in the Castle Hill...not bad.

    Thanks, amigo. for your helpful input. Would I be right in thinking that there may well be a part of it devoted to the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 ?

    Thank you, matey, for the info. on the above. I shall certainly check 'em out when I get there in September. Curious, though, that their websites displayed in only the Hungarian language - I found that also to be the case of Czech museums

    Kbely has a great aviation museum:
    Prague Kbely Aviation museum (has 245 airplanes of which 85 on display in buildings, 25 in open, 155 in storage and 10 in flying condition):

    Lešaniy close to Prage has a good Tank museum (has more than 350 exponates ranging from tanks, trucks, guns, motorcyles, planes (one 1:1 diorama with shot down FW-190) from 1890 to present):

    Army museum Žižkov.

    DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT FORgET to visit Hradčani castel.
