Our country, Zanobossia, is currently engaged in a war of attrition with our mortal enemy, Petoria. The year is 1946, and our two countries have been battleling for over 5 years. Neither side appears to be losing or winning, all while countless lives are being lost to this military stagnation. We, however, have a plan. Our superb naval force eliminated the Petorian Eastern Navy off Petoria's east coast. Her naval defense in the area has been wiped out. It is here that we plan to win the war. Our military strategists have come up with a beach invasion that could end the war in months as the majority of the Petorian forces are bogged down on in the trenches fighting our troops. We have the means to offload a sizeable amount of troops on the Petorian coast, but no means for our armoured forces. We do not have the time or material to construct the quantity of transport ships needed to deploy a reasonable amount of armour onto Petoria. Our current ships are much to big to get anywhere withing 500 meters of the shoreline. What Zanobossia is looking for is an amphibious tank that will be able to unload from the larger ships, swim the 500+ meters to the shore, and provide support for our infantry. Requirements: -The vehicle must be, of course, amphibious -No weight limit or size is specified, but the smaller and lighter the vehicle it is, the better the chances of us accepting it. (for number carried vs size available is very important) -Enemy Armour is expected to be minimal, and our anti-tank units are excellent, so an anti-tank weapon is unecessary. However, we do expect enemy infantry emplaced in bunkered positions, so a gun with a caliber of at least 50mm is a must. -Anti-infantry weapons are to be the primary weapon on your designs for that is to be the only primary threat. This can include MGs, GLs, flamethrowers or anything else that will bring the Petorian infantry to their deaths. -Speed is not an essential factor, as long as the vehicle can keep up with the advancing infantry, it will be considered adequate. -Although not strictly necessary, the ability for your designs to carry/store accompyning infantry will definitely be considered a plus. -Designs must be able to clear enemy trenches 2 meters wide I believe that is all, soldiers. We will except any countries entry so far as the design meets the aforementioned requirements. Ok, sorry about the delay!
