I know that prior to landing on Mindoro (Philippines Islands), that US subs delivered supplies to the guerillas there. Is there any book or article that covers covert operations on Mindoro itself?
Checked with Clay Blair's Silent Victory. On page 784 it mentions that Army paratroopers serving as commandos captured a Japanese patrol boat and with it 3 code books which were picked up by the USS Blackfin. See Blair at 784. More information regarding the Philippines may be found in Theodore Roscoe's United States Submarine Operations in World War II. See p. 371-2. From 1943 to Autumn 1944 there were 39 supply missions in which 327 men were landed and 466 evacuated in the Philippines and not just Mindoro.
I found this while cruising the web. It's not exactly covert ops but might be of interest. Submarine Special Missions in the Pacific - Warfare History Network
Thanks. It was an interesting article. Found this but it doesn't help. One chapter covers the Philippines but nothing on Mindoro. https://history.army.mil/books/wwii/70-42/70-42c.htm
