    Hi everybody,
I am trying to find out exactly what this is, and how much it is worth. it appears to be from the 1930's and i think it may be a stick pin missing the pin part. if someone could tell me anything about it, I would really appreciate it. View attachment 15555

Could you make the photos on a plain background?

Also closeups of the words, front and back, such that they are readable would be helpful.

It is a commemoration pin for the "Tag des Deutschen Handwerks" = Day of the German Craft. It must have been the annual convention of the craftsmen federation affiliated to the Party. It was held every year and in 1933 it was from the 18th to the 19th of November in Braunschweig. It is sold for 65€ on german websites.

I found more on the german wikipedia, I will translate the gist fr you:

Actually there were four different federations of craftsmen in Nazi Germany:

    Reichsverband
    des Deutschen Handwerks
    Reichsstand des Deutschen Handwerks
    Deutschen Handwerkskammertag
Fachverbände im Reichsstand des Deutschen Handwerks

Funnily enough all of them were under the command of the same person: Wilhelm Georg Schmidt, a plumber, who was the Reichshandwerksführer.

Pitty the enamel damage and missing Verschlußnadel. I think in this condition it is more a $10.00-$20.00 piece.

Well, thanks fir the info guys. In truth this was found by a friend of mine in an abandoned house that he was cleaning for the owner. He has had it for a while and asked me to see if I could find a value for it. Its cool that it is a semi-rare piece, but saddening that the damage has affected the value so much...I always find myself hoping that I've found a rare one-of-a-kind piece that will magically be worth millions(illogical I know) every time I get something like this. Anyways I appreciate all the help, at least I found a cool militaria board to lurk and look at while I'm working. :D
