    That looks more like an early Leopard than an M48. But who knows

    Anyways, that would be a horrible way to end

    Yeah. Definitely not a Patton, M-46, M-47 or M-48.
    The turret is too large.

    the clip is called M46 Patton, though thats no guarentee it's right

    Yeah I noticed. The title probably came from the person posting it who may or may not have a clue about such things.

    Looking at it closely - it does not look American at all. it isn't an M1, and the turret is too flat & wide to be anything before that.

    So - Leopard 1? AMX30? Possibly a Centurian, but I think the truuet may be wrong for that.

    That turret really looks strange.It almost looks like a Tiger I turret.

    At a guess it's a "target tank" - I know some old tank chassis had mockup turrets put on them and were set up to be remotely driven. The turrets were made from available materials (AFAIK) and were just "representative". There is a video floating about on the net of a Centurion hull with a similar flat-faced turret... But I can't remember where I saw it. Rats :angry:
