A documentary was recently produced about Chicago's Navy Pier and the role of this historic landmark in America's effort in World War II. It is called Heroes On Deck: World War II On Lake Michigan, and tomorrow I'll be attending a panel discussion at the Pritzker Military Museum about the film. According to the write-up on the talk: "Captain Dave Truitt, WWII veteran Herb Sohn, and restoration specialist Jonathan Toby Mack visit the Museum & Library in a panel discussion about the ingenious training program that changed the course of the war in the Pacific and the making of this original documentary." Heroes on Deck | Pritzker Military Museum & Library | Chicago I'll be posting photos and comments afterwards, and I'll add any new content I can to our growing archive at WW2|ORG. I think it's fitting way to spend the 6th of June.
