I'm hoping for some assistance. Since last night when I access the Forum here or at WWII Talk I am having an unchosen webpage show up on my screen. They vary but are not sites to which I have ever been or would be likely to go. These pages also appear when I change threads or turn pages. This is not happening at other websites.

I have cleaned my system thoroughly this evening and it is still happening but only at the WWII Forums mentioned. Is anyone else having a similiar problem? Any suggestions as to what is happening and how I can stop it?!?!?

    Thank you for your help.

Contacted you by Email Michelle to see if we can get to the bottom of this without using the 2 sites.
I've had no reports from other users. Anyone?

    Cheers,
    Adam.

It looks like I must have got caught by a trojan that added and ad clic process, when I went researching on petroleum production!

We've run everything and it looks okay, but shall be quite wary. Thanks for the email Adam - I just didn't want to come on again until I thought everything was clear.

A pleasure Michelle, glad to see you're sorted now.
A shame that these swine keep producing their malware.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

Well, I was apparently premature the last time I posted, so aside from being out of town for a few days have also been scanning system constantly. Had greatest success with Webroot Spy Sweeper. In my earliest post I thought the problem happened at the Forums, but it started turning up everywhere. I think resolved at last...and able to be back online again.

Good to have you back Michelle, and glad to hear we weren't the cause of your problems! Well, not this one at least! ;)
