    1. My name is Daniel J Harcus, and I dont mind being called Dan, Danny, or just plain Daniel. My member name comes from my grade 10 social class as we had to create a Political Party and run for class president. I came up with AusCan as I am a citizen of both Canada(Born in Edmonton Alberta) and Australia(My mother is Australian and was born in Brisbane QLD)
    2. I am 23 years old and have been interested in WWII, or all things to do with wars throughout history since I was about 6.
    3. I was born in Edmonton Alberta, in Western Canada. Lived for 2.5 years in Australia and moved back to Canada just over 10 years ago.
    4. I love everything to do with WWII, including why and how Hitler came to power and why he acted the way he did. I specifically enjoy reading about the Armored Divisions and the RCAF
    5. My hobbies include paintball and snowboarding, they typical things that a young male likes to do as well as Swordmanship and Jousting. I also collect a table top battle game called Warhammer. I have created platoons that are painted with the Canadian Flag on their shoulders and like to recreate battles from the past with friends.
    6. I love anything to do with Rome, Greece, Egypt, Persia, South American and North American Native cultures...ancient history that has left its mark on mankind. I have always found the worlds history to be interesting.

Welcome aboard, sir! Word of warning...don't walk around in here with your shoes off. I tried it once....trust me, just don't. *evil grin* Swordsmanship/jousting, eh? Man...wish they'd offered that in school when I was a kid!!!

Welcome to the Forum, Daniel. There is an amazing wealth of information on the Internet regarding Canada`s role in WWII and also on this Forum. Check out the thread Websites for Family or Genealogy research as I listed a large number of sites about Canada. I am thrilled to see young people interested in WWII, as well as history - so I am very happy to read your bio and see you here.
