I think I built that Revell kit (or one very similar) when it was issued. It was not done as precisely as what you did. In my defense, I was 12.
    Anyway, nicely done.

Thanks, the instructions called for a windshield, part number 11, but there was no part number 11 on the sprue. And the number had been partially etched out on it. The sheet in that step instructed you to place it into the groove in the cabin roof. This leads me to believe that possibly with the new mold in 2023 that they could no longer make that part. I saw a photo of the same one on line that someone had completed and that did not have the windshield either. Not really noticeable, but annoying to me just the same. I bought this at Ollie’s Outlet for $13.00. They had about 8 different Atlantis kits there.

You could use some clear cellophane, cut it as required. Paint in any supports.

Thanks. I just went out in the garage and found something to use for a windscreen, cut from a small piece of flexible plastic . But I had already glued it in place before I just read your reply. It’s on as it is. Even if it is minus the supports which I could have used a dark magic for them. At least I could make something that looks reasonable ok. IMG_3007.jpeg

You could give it that boat's original camouflage...

IMG_3032.jpeg That’s ok. Might I add that for lack of any blue paint, for the raft and vest, I used yellow which I know is not period correct. Now, we’re back on track. And the overall color would represent the English Channel-Mediterranean color which is where she served.

    On dazzle paint:

The PT squadron 207 served in was one of two that got that sort of dazzle paint, one squadron in the Med, the other in the Pacific. It was found at a distance the pattern was too small and blended into a grey to the observer, while these schemes proved very difficult to keep up, requiring a lot of maintenance. The conclusion was they weren't worth the time and effort and the boats soon reverted to more common schemes.

The most common was this one:

Two tone green with the pattern carried over onto the decks or deck green being used on horizontal surfaces.

    Lovely work!

Interesting that 207 has lightweight Mark 13 torpedoes rather than tubes but not the heavy gun armament often fitted to later war PTs.

Yes i see two 50 cals...and what looks like a 20mm (not sure what the US called 20 "mm") and a 40mm bofor...! Plus torps...this was a little warship for sure!
I bet they even had rifles and hand guns...!

The typical armament for a 78ft Higgins PT boat by 1943-44 was 2 x 20mm guns (one bow, one amidships), 4 x .50 machineguns in two twin mounts, 1 37mm autocannon of the type the P-39 used (bow), 1 40mm bofors aft, 2 - 4 depth charges, 2 x 4.5" rocket launchers P & S just forward of the cabin, and 4 x Mk 13 lightweight torpedoes.
