With so many different weapons the efforts to supply them with ammunition would be a very daunting task. Frontline units would be lucky if they got a handful of shells for each gun! Also, the Chinese wartime-economy (if such even existed) could not hope to produce a significant amount of ammunition for any one gun, let alone 100 different guns. I imagine Nationalist-Chinese artillery doctrine was based on the availability of ammunition rather than any divisional incorporation of guns. Seriously though, if you know about the role of artillery in China during the Second World War, Cyril, I would be very interested.
I very little while know about artillery of China. While I managed to make only this list of guns about which I know, that them sold to China. How much I knew in the Chinese army many the diversified arms, and not only artillery. In each division there could be various guns. It created greater problems with supply by an ammunition as you have correctly written. You casually do not know Russian?
