On december 14, 1941 was admitted into Derna military hospital a wounded (6 wounds) South African Airforce officer shot down by german fighters in the same area (northern Cyrenaica). The pilot died during the night without being able of giving his name.
Maybe somebody can help me in identifying the officer and/or his SAAF detachment.

I am also looking for any infos about 2 or 3 RAF aircrafts (1-2 fighters and 1 bomber) shot down by german/italian AA on 18th march 1941 at 9 and at 10.15 in the area of Arco dei Fileni (Marble Arch or Arco Philaenorum)

    Regards
    Toni
